On 28 March 2013, over 500 dock workers at the Hong Kong International Terminals (HIT) went on strike to fight for better salary and working conditions. They occupied the main entrance of the terminals in order to paralyze daily operation. However, HIT applied for an emergence injunction order granted by the court on 1 April 2013. Workers were forced to leave the terminals which weakened the impact of the strike action.
