Israel - Port worker strike suspended by labour court (2012)

In May, a strike over bonus coupons at the Ashdod Port was suspended after the national labour court ordered the workers not to take any industrial action until 1 June at least. Manufacturers, importers and exporters had complained to the court that the work slowdown by port workers at Ashdod, coupled with an overload at a nearby port was costing them NIS 2 billion.
